155 students of the University of Oviedo to be trained in EDP

Fundación EDP unches its internship program for the 2018/2019 academic year, now known as the Martín González del Valle Internships

155 students from theUniversidad de Oviedo will complete their EDP academic training during the next academic year.Fundación EDP launches the call for its internship program, aimed at students of more than 30 specialties. The one million euros programis the most outstanding of the University of Oviedo.

Students interested in participating in the program can make their request from September 14 to 24, through the application of the University(https://sies.uniovi.es/serviciosacademicos). Among the degrees -25 degrees and 8 masters- are Electrical Engineering, Commerce and Marketing, Software Computing, Chemistry, Economics or Law.

The program, in its 35th year, is now called Martín González del Valle Internships, who presided over the energy company between 1987 and 1999, and was both its and Fundación EDP's honorary president until his death in November 2015.

The Martín González del Valle Internships are remunerated and last for six months. The formative period will begin in mid-October, with the incorporation of each student to the assigned work center. Practices will be developed in all areas of the company, under the supervision of tutors, who will train and help the students.

In addition to the agreement with the University of Oviedo, Fundación EDP has agreements with other Spanish universities and schools to favor the training of more students in the different facilities and work centers that the company has in other communities. Thus, this year more than 30 students will join the work centers of Madrid, Cantabria, Basque Country, Andalusia, Murcia, Galicia, Aragon, Navarra and Valencian Community.
