The 6th Carrera Familiar Solidaria de Getxo (Solidarity Family Race of Getxo) includes sports, health and family. This race, for everyone, will be held on Sunday, October 7 in Getxo. It is organized by the newspaper El Correo and sponsored by Fundación EDP.

This race, which has no classifications, has a 1.5 kilometer route through the Getxo Marina, which can be given a maximum of 5 laps, with supplies and a gift. The collection will be donated to the Asociación Gaude and the number of participants is limited to 1,200 people. The inscriptions are made at http://carrerafamiliar.vamosacorrer.com/getxo/.

Asociación Gaude is specialized in providing support to people with intellectual disabilities and their families in Bizkaia.

Also in the Basque Country and by the same organizer, the 7th Marcha Solidaria Green took place on September 23, 2018. This race toured the green ring of Vitoria-Gasteiz, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary, thanks to the support of Fundación EDP. More than 2,000 people participated in this march whose proceeds go to Cáritas.
