The Third EDP Half Marathon of Women will be held in Madrid next sunday, October 28, as a way of support and empowerment of women's sport.

Five blind runners and their guides will run this half marathon thanks to "Comparte Tu Energía", a platform that made it possible for blind or visually impaired people to come together and train with running enthusiasts so they can together face new challenges, like this race.

www.compartetuenergia.com is a social and sports initiative that EDP launched with the collaboration of ONCE and the Spanish Federation of Sports for the Blind, which serves to unite blind people who want to run with other guiding runners. These 5 pairs are an example of the more than 2,500 people enrolled in this solidarity initiative. To all the runners that are formed through this project, EDP will give them running bibs so that they can participate together in any of the more than 30 sponsored races.

In addition, on Saturday 27, a Runner's Fair will be held at the ABC Serrano shopping center, where throughout the day (from 10:00 am to 08:00 pm), visitors can enjoy different recreational and sports activities in the EDP space, as well as recovering the amount paid for your bib number. There will be space to spread the word about www.compartetuenergia.com and also the "Runner Icon" initiative (www.runnericon.com), which asks Internet search engines to include the "running" option when searching for routes. Children can play "snookball", which is a sport that mixes billiards with football, and all visitors can take a photo on the EDP podium with their objective race time. EDP will also offer a video game with a "Previous Challenge" for two players. Those who visit the EDP space can get gifts and tattoos, exclusive for those registered in the EDP Half Marathon of Women in Madrid.
