These awards recognize organizations and teams that stand out in the implementation of Lean and are an example for the more than 60 partners in the community, among which are reference companies such as Airbus, Coca-Cola, Eroski or Renault.

Yolanda Fernández Montes, Director of Environment, Sustainability, Innovation and Quality of EDP España, collected the award at the celebration gala of the V Anniversary of the Lean Community, in Madrid. Joining Yolanda, members of the Lean Office Spain, together with a representative of each business, were the real protagonists of Lean in EDP Spain.

Since the incorporation of EDP España to the Lean Community, in May 2018, there have been many activities developed together, participating actively in monthly benchmarking sessions with different partners, such as Siemens, Campofrío or Iberia, which have also been attended by people of EDP's business, and actively collaborated in the I Lean Congress and Innovation that took place last October in Gijón, where EDP played a leading role in both the presentations and technical tables, and in the Lean visits to the power stations of electric power generation of La Malva and Aboño.

In all events, the company has been an example of Lean good practices, highlighting teamwork, involvement and motivation of people, which was undoubtedly the main reason to get the prize.
