The EDP Live Bands already has semifinalists. 59 amateur bands from all over Spain will compete to be in the final of the music contest, which will take place on May 18 in Madrid. The winner will perform live at the NOS Alive Festival and will record and album with Sony Music.

The bands chosen for the semifinal, are of different musical styles and have been the most voted at the first stage by the audience as well as by a jury of music experts. In total, 265 bands were registered.

The semifinal of EDP’s music contest will last until April 19. Until then, everyone that wishes can vote for their favorite bands on the contest's website.

On May 6, the 6 finalist bands will be announced. They will compete with two live performances on May 18 at the Cool Hall in Madrid, where the winner will be known.

This initiative strengthens EDP’s role as the official energy of music and its bet to promote national and international music. Moreover, it has the support of Everything is New and Sony Music, and Mondo Sonoro as media partner, which are also members of the jury.
