Around 4 200 people have benefited from this agreement

Almost 4 200 people in a situation of severe vulnerability have received a training thanks to the collaboration of the EDP Foundation and the Accenture Foundation, through the initiative “Together for the employment of the most vulnerable ones”.

The way of working has changed radically in the last decades due to the digital transformation, and this collaboration aims to train people in order to give them the new abilities required in the current working environment.

Companies today require functions that were not contemplated before, like the need to develop different professional skills. New competences are thus linked to digital knowledge to align with the new demands in job positions.

Digital abilities have become the most required by enterprises, without forgetting basic aspects like the fulfillment of norms and tasks, the orientation to customers, the work quality, the organization, and the self-confidence.

The digital competence gives the capability to benefit from the wealth of technologies and the raising challenges. They turn out to be more necessary every time to be able to participate significatively in the new society of the 21st century, becoming key in order to get a job.

The goal of this agreement between both foundations is the attainment of actions for the training in digital abilities and knowledges, that enable collectives in a situation of vulnerability to reduce the digital gap and incorporate to the work market. They are given an open, collaborative and responsible attitude towards the online world and new technologies.

The following organizations take part in this program: Inserta Empleo, Fundación Secretariado Gitano, Spanish Red Cross, La Rueca Asociación, Norte Joven, Asociación Proyecto Hombre, Aldeas Infantiles SOS España and Fundación Exit. All of them combine a common effort for this collective not to miss the digital train, making them available economic resources and educational solutions, both in-person and online.

The initiative “Together for the employment of the most vulnerable” is aligned with Group EDP’s initiative regarding digitalization, but with a social approach.
