Music and good atmosphere have been the main characters

The EDP Foundation has supported, one more year, the festivity celebrated by the schools of Alava, known as Araba Euskaraz. Each year it is celebrated in a different city, and its goal is to raise money to carry out reforms or some change in the ikastola of this village.

This edition has been celebrated in Vitoria-Gasteiz, under the motto “Gertu”, that makes reference to the inclusion of collectives, and social goals. The school in charge of the organization has been Ikastola Armentia, and the money raised will be dedicated to creating a scholarship system, so that this center, which is private, is open to all families, regardless their economic situation, and to developing an educative project in the school and improving its sport installations. With this initiative, it is aimed to move forward, towards a more inclusive education model in all aspects.

Thousands of people have enjoyed the different activities organized in a circuit with four areas, located in different zones of the capital (the park of el Prado, the Mineral area, ikastola itself and the clears of Armentia). Workshops, artisan products, sport and music were present in all areas.

As an innovation, this year’s program has broken with the usual distribution of festive areas, attending to age groups, and has developed few-kilometers-circuits, aiming to achieve, according to the organizers, a “participative, fun and multicultural” day.
