EDP launches its customer assistance plan

Friday 20, March 2020

The energy company is working to ensure the maintenance of the energy supply and the attention that their clients need at any time

The energy company EDP is taking different measures to guarantee their clients’ priorities, which are energy supply and attention. For that purpose, the company, in accordance with its values and aware of the current situation, wants to contribute with an assistance plan for its clients.

The most urgent measure was taken last week, when it suspended all non-payment outages for the most vulnerable customers, such as homes, self-employed workers and small and medium enterprises, being ahead of the measures that the Government has taken recently.

Moreover, the company offers, as it has been doing in the past, assistance plans to make the payment of invoices more flexible.

Regarding customer service, and after the temporary closing of its on-site service offices as a preventive measure, EDP has also strengthened its telephone service and via its digital channels, the www.edpenergia.es web and the “edponline” app.

Baser (Reference Marketer)

The company has suspended the expiration of the Bono Social (Social Bond) for customers who are eligible for it, and will make several home maintenance services available to them free of charge during the state of alarm. EDP provides these services to its liberalized market customers, with the objective of ensuring its supply in case there is any breakdown in their homes.

Thus, it will not be necessary for clients whose Bono Social expires to apply for its renovation until September 15, according to the measures that have been recently approved by the Government.

E-REDES

The EDP Group electricity distribution company in Spain, E-REDES, has also taken assistance measures, allowing SMEs with electric installations of less than 20 years old to modify the hired power and adjust it to their current needs.

This measure will imply no cost when their power is readjusted again to the levels previous to the current situation.

EDP is still working to extend these measures.
