Company reinforces set of measures to address the current pandemic context, by anticipating payments to suppliers.

Advance payments to suppliers are just one of the several measures the company has put in place in response to the current pandemic. In addition to this, EDP has approved three other initiatives for the purchase of medical supplies and equipment.

The two companies' proposal for the production of wind power has just been chosen by Massachusetts State authorities. Back in December 2018, EDP Renováveis and Shell announced the creation of a joint venture to produce clean energy from offshore wind.

The purchase of Enertel strengthens the EDP Group commercial area's internationalization strategy for other European markets. With four million customers in Portugal and 30,000 contracts in Spain, EDP Comercial is now providing energy and solar panels to companies in Italy and Poland.

First products arrived in Lisbon this week to be delivered to the Ministry of Health. Personal protective equipment, totaling half a million euros, is intended for hospitals in the five regional health administrations.

Verallia, a company specialized in sustainable glass packaging, has chosen EDP for a 15MWp solar energy contract. The partnership is the largest announced so far by EDP in Italy and one of the largest in Europe.

The agreement, signed for the upcoming 3 years, involves the supply of 80.5 GWh per year to 38 points of the leading company in wholesale distribution to the hotel and catering industry in Spain.
