The platform that enabled these people, blind and guides, to join to train and, now, to face this new challenge is Compartetuenergia.com, a social and sports initiative that EDP launched with the collaboration of ONCE and the Spanish Federation of Sports for the Blind, which serves as a meeting point for blind people who want to run with other amateur or professional runners who can guide them.

The popular marathon athlete Martin Fiz, ambassador of the platform, declares his satisfaction at being able to be the spokesperson of this project: "Sharing energy also means sharing the challenges, the overcoming and the goal. I have been able to be a guide thanks to "Comparte Tu Energía" and I have been able to feel what it means to run without seeing, closing my eyes, and enjoying to see what everyone, not only those who dedicate ourselves to this, but any lover of running, can do for others".

The riders who will participate in this race will be Jordi Bascuñana, accompanied by his guide José Valero (Madrid), Carmen Soler who will be guided by Germán Hilling (Mallorca) and Ana Lucía Santiago who will be accompanied by Marcos Marín and Antonio Raya (Madrid), for the first time doing the 42 km.

These runners are an example of the more than 2,600 registered people who will be able to add one more achievement to their list of races.

The involvement of EDP with the race is reinforced by various activities at the Runner's fair that will take place on November 30 and December 1 at the Museo de Felipe y Hemisfèric, Ciudad de las artes y las ciencias. The fair will host many activities and prizes for all audiences, for example, the "share your effort" race, where participants will have to get on a bicycle and pedal as fast as possible.

EDP gives the pairs of "Comparte Tu Energía" (Share your Energy) the race bibs to participate in the races that it sponsors. In addition, until the end of the year, their new home customers in the free market have the first month of electricity consumption for free (with the product "Máximo Ahorro 24 horas"). With this new rate, new and current customers will enjoy the same price of electricity 24 hours a day and different discounts (reaching the maximum savings with 7% in the consumption of electricity and 20% in the fixed term of gas).
