Wednesday 05, February 2020

EDP, along with some of the leading industrial companies and startups of the BIND 4.0 program, will participate this year in 4YFN, the world's largest startup meeting.

The accelerator of public-private startups of intelligent industry led by the Basque Government, BIND 4.0, will participate this year in the most important congress and startup meeting in the world, 4YFN, which welcomes more than 75,000 visitors each year among startups, leading companies and investors. This meeting, which will take place from February 24th to 26th, is part of the celebration of the MWC in Barcelona and aims to publicize the latest technological developments.

During these three days, representatives of BIND 4.0 of both the 52 tractor companies, among which EDP is counted, as well as the 108 emerging companies that have participated in the program in these four years, as well as the different agents of the entrepreneurial ecosystem Basque, will attend this meeting with a double objective. On the one hand, to present the latest developed projects of Industry 4.0 and connect BIND 4.0 startups with leading companies and investors. And, on the other hand, to meet new startups with the latest proposals in the sector, who are interested in accelerating their companies through industrial companies and being part of the BIND 4.0 community.

To this end, business meetings will be held between the emerging companies that request it and the representatives or partners of the program. In these meetings, which have limited places and can be requested through the BIND 4.0 website, bind40.com/4yfnbarcelona/, those interested should submit the project, use cases and customers, that develop with disruptive technologies in the manufacturing areas additive, robotics, cybersecurity, IoT, artificial vision, Big Data, augmented reality, artificial intelligence and many other emerging technologies of Industry 4.0. These projects must have a potential application in the four areas of BIND 4.0, which are: the food, energy, advanced manufacturing and health sectors.
BIND 4.0 aims to create strong connections and relationships between large companies and startups, in order to move forward together in the digital transformation of the industry. The benefits of initiatives such as BIND 4.0 are bidirectional, both for participating companies and for collaborating companies.

On the other hand, the 52 collaborating companies will have access to the best talent, new knowledge and technology to be able to incorporate innovative and competitive solutions to their business and activity. This program allows them to identify and attract talent from around the world. In short, talent at the service of improving competitiveness, diversification and new market niches.
