Entama is born as a response to the Local Community’s concern regarding job creation, a fact that is reflected in the perception study conducted in 2019 with the aim of knowing and assessing the concerns and perception of EDP’s commitment and responsibility to the environment.

This year more than ever, as star program of the Local Communities Action Plan, Entama intends to support the launch and consolidation of local entrepreneurs in a moment in which getting out of the current sanitary crisis is expected to affect many economic activities, specially those in the rural environment. This way, Entama has a budget of 85,000€ for funding projects in EDP’s Local Community, which is being expanded this year to new councils in the “extended” environment of the generation plants in Asturias: Carreño, Ribera de Arriba, Proaza, Morcín, Quirós, Somiedo, Belmonte, Santo Adriano, Caso, Teverga y Sobrescobio.

The criteria for the selection of the projects are maintained, searching for economically viable actions, with potential for growth and job creation, innovative and sustainable.
