EDP Foundation sponsors Kursaal Eszena cultural activity in its new season

Tuesday 15, September 2020

The Congress Center and Auditorium located in San Sebastian resumes its program after postponing some concerts due to Covid-19, such as Izaro, Amaral or the children’s concert “Eko-Musik”, now adapted to the new health measures.

Kusaal Eszena proposes a total of fifteen dates for its new season, some of them recovered from the previous one, after being cancelled due to Covid-19, and adapted to the new health measures. The season will begin on October 11 with the concert from Amaia, and end on January 25 with Philippe Jaroussky’s recital. The EDP Foundation joins as a sponsor of this area.

Women voices will be the main characters from the pop part of the program, which will also hold two special dates linked to Basque music. The part dedicated to classic music will count with, among others, the recital of the renowned French countertenor Philippe Jaroussky, and a cotemporary ballet spectacle by Ballet Preljocaj, the company of one of the most relevant choreographers of the French scene, the Albanian Angelin Preljocaj.

Kursaal Eszena will move forward with its project Kursaal Eskura during this season: initiative that aims to facilitate access to its concerts to those fans from the municipalities of Gipuzkoa farthest from San Sebastian. Because the Kursaal Center is a Congress Center and Auditorium intended for the celebration of high interest events, as well as cultural activities of maximum quality, with the aim of becoming an instrument to promote the wealth and image of Donostia and Gipuzkoa, generating an activity that draws people so that they provide an added value to the economic environment, as well as to the knowledge one.

The ticket sales period is already available in the Kursaal box office and in the web (www.kursaal.eus). The center has also created a Spotify list to follow the musical programming from anywhere.
