Organized by the El Comercio newspaper, in cooperation with the Siero Town Hall, Ontier, Banco Santander and the Principality of Asturias, these awards honor companies that create value within the region

• EDP Spain receives the Top Employer certificate after applying for the first time 

• EDPR in Spain achieves this for the seventh year running

• European Commission highlights Aboño as a Project of Common Interest (PCI)

• This recognition joins others already granted by Europe, such as that of Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI)

• Inclusion will mean priority treatment of this project by European and national authorities

In the European week destined to sustainability, the European Commission has honored EDP’s project for its innovation

The initiative, started in the last edition of the International Trade Fair of Asturias, competes for the award in the multimedia category

This edition brought together more than 4,500 students and almost 2,000 speakers.

The EDP Group, an international energy group and world leader in renewable energy, has been distinguished by the Ethisphere Institute for its good management practices and business ethics policy for the eleventh consecutive year.

The ENTAMA programme, recognised for its commitment to sustainability, aims to generate employment and wealth in rural areas.

The company’s candidacy stood out because of the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals in its organization.

EDP has been distinguished, for sixth consecutive year, as one of the most ethic companies in the world. In the list of Most Ethic Companies in the World 2017, the Ethisphere Institute recognizes 124 companies from 19 countries.
