The energy company’s program has helped boost 57 projects with more than 600,000 euros, thus creating more than 100 direct jobs 

EDP’s program, which goal is to launch and consolidate the projects of local entrepreneurship, has selected sixteen candidates that it will be supporting and financing this year. This new edition will specially promote the projects led by women or the ones that have an elevated potential of employability for them.

GEI 2023 has a global scope, representing 45 countries and regions.

The program allocates 600,000 euros to entities from Asturias, Madrid, País Vasco, Aragón, Andalucía and Galicia to promote energy, rural development, social exclusion and care for elderly people initiatives

The Mentoring project is aimed for women studying or working in this field

On May 28 it will collaborate with the seminar “Inspiring Women in Science”, that will take place in Gijón
