On the occasion of the International Day of Forests and in collaboration with EDP’s Volunteer Program and the Fund for Wild Animals’ Protection (FAPAS), the EDP Foundation has planted 100 trees in Teverga

EDP Art Reef is an artistic intervention with materials, like pieces from the Asturian power plant of Soto de Ribera, extracted from the thermal coal power plants of EDP, that currently intends to change the energy production, substituting fossil fuels with renewable technologies. Some of the most emblematic pieces can be visited by the public until April 15 in EDP’s headquarters, in Lisbon, and will be plunged afterwards.

The 14,285.75 kWh generated, which is equivalent to driving almost 100,000 kilometres in an electric vehicle, will be donated to various Caritas and Spanish Red Cross projects.

EDP, in addition to an initial amount, matches the amount donated by each employee to contribute together to this cause.

They make photovoltaic solutions for self-consumption, customised for each farm, available to the approximately 1,100 livestock farms of their members.
