The company has 14 offices in Spain

The queue management system implemented in EDP’s commercial offices has been acknowledged in the ‘5th edition of the Digital Era Awards’, organized by the Computing journal. The system, called ‘maitre’, has received the prize for best Innovation in the Customer Experience project, at a gala that took place in Madrid and was attended by more than 400 professionals in the Information Technology sector.

With the ‘maitre’ system, tickets and traditional acoustic signs are avoided, and an agent attends proactively the client when he/she enters the office. Its registers information about the management and description of the client. This information is shared with the rest of the agents so that they can surprise the client in the waiting room, addressing him/her by his/her name, and accompanying him/her to the assistance points. EDP has 14 offices in Spain.

The head of EDP Spain On-Site Service, Juan Peón, collected the award at the gala and pointed out that “it is an honor to receive this award, which strengthens our closeness with the customer and acknowledges the company’s effort to always put him in the center of all the decisions”. He also highlighted the collaboration with the companies ‘Altabox’ and ‘Think and Retail’.

These awards acknowledge the most innovative projects, that allow all types of organizations to apply entrepreneurial transformation models. Companies like Ferrovial, Sanitas, El Pozo, Ibercaja or MásMóvil were also awarded. Computing is a BPS (Business Publications Spain) technology journal, a publisher specialized in the IT sector, referent in the technological information world.
