EDP publishes a program for the launching and consolidation of local companies
It is aimed to support initiatives developed in the councils of Carreño, Ribera de Arriba, Proaza, Quirós, Somiedo, Belmonte and Sobrescobio
EDP Spain has launched the program Entama 2019-2020 to support entrepreneurial initiatives that generate resources and employment in the municipalities of Carreño, Ribera de Arriba, Proaza, Quirós, Somiedo, Belmonte and Sobrescobio, aimed at projects that create an added value in a sustainable way and with future projection.
This initiative is product of the work carried out by the company with the local communities, after which 4 priority areas of action were identified: employment generation, environment, commitment with the local community and participation, and dialogue.
Entama pretends to contribute to the capacitation and sustainability of projects and will thus carry out actions for the information and counseling for their promoters. It counts with a maximum allocation of 85 000 euros, to distribute between the projects that are selected by EDP. The contribution could however be extended in a second stage in 2021.
Among the ideas presented, some of the aspects that will be valued are the generation of direct and indirect employment in the indicated municipality terms, the hiring of local suppliers, the promotion of the council’s development, the fight against depopulation and the incorporation of new technologies.
Participants in Entama must be adults and/or legal entities, properly constituted and registered, that are not immersed in any process claiming financial or fiscal debt and litigation or arrears. Groups of up to 3 people may also participate, as well as those projects with public or third-party funding resources, and that require complementary economic aid.
The deadline for the presentation of projects is September 30, 2019. The selection of projects will be carried out on October 30, at the latest. The results will be announced on December 15.
