EDP takes the opportunities presented by the energy transition in the recruitment of talent to the Employment Forum
Speed dating, curriculum vitae review and an experience in the first green hydrogen production plant in the metaverse, among other activities
Job interviews, curriculum vitae review, an experience in the first green hydrogen production plant in the metaverse... EDP arrives at Foro Empleo, on 5 and 6 October at the Luis Adaro Exhibition Centre in Gijón, with various activities for university students. The company is clear about the need to attract talent in its aim to lead the energy transition, which requires the incorporation of professional profiles that contribute to achieving the important challenges that the energy sector has set itself.
EDP's activities include a review of the students' CVs and a speed dating session, where they will be able to have a quick interview with the company's Human Resources professionals, who will make recommendations and proposals for improvement.
EDP will also be present at the round table on Thursday 6th on "Green growth: job opportunities", which will take place between 12:00 and 13:00 with companies in the sector in Asturias and led by Laura Ayala, HR Manager at EDP Renovables. On the same day, the company's Head of Hydrogen Project Development, Javier Izquierdo, will speak at 13:00 with the conference "Green hydrogen: key energy in the energy transition".
Green hydrogen, one of EDP's strategic priorities, is another of the activities offered by the company at the Employment Forum. Students who wish to do so will be able to generate green hydrogen in the metaverse, in the first renewable hydrogen production plant in the virtual world.
In its space, EDP will inform students about the scholarship programme of its Foundation, which this year will allow more than 80 students, from more than 20 specialities, to complete their academic training in the different areas of the company. The internships at EDP, which amount to almost 40 calls for applications, are the first contact with the business world for many university students each year. It is the most important scholarship programme of the University of Oviedo.
In addition, the company highlights STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) studies in its space, with which it wants to promote the interest of students in these subjects.
By participating in this Forum, EDP reinforces its close collaboration with the university community, as part of its commitment to promoting talent and knowledge.
