PhotoRunner, EDP’s new running project, kicks off with EDP’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Madrid
Runners are already taking part in EDP’s PhotoRunner, a photographic project that allows runners to show through a camera what only they can see.
Moving forward with its commitment with sport, at a time when careers are taking place again, EDP has started up a new initiative linked to the running world. It is EDP PhotoRunner, a collaborative photographic project that aims to share the unique moments lived by runners in their trainings and races anywhere in the world, enabling the rest of the world to see, through the camera, what only runners can see.
Anyone who wants to participate should just upload photos on Instagram with the hashtag #EDPPhotoRunner, showing what motivates them the most to run, what inspires them and fills them with energy. This way, they can become the main characters in the banners and billboards in the next cities where EDP’s races will be taking place. In addition, participants of this initiative will enter a raffle of race bibs for the next races, as well as of sport watches, among other prizes.
On the other hand, participants’ images will be exposed in the Runner’s Fairs that will be celebrated in several Spanish cities, being Madrid the first city to show these snapshots the following weekend. During the fair, the jury and other people that visit the exhibition will be able to vote for their favorite photos and choose the winner of this photographic project.
Through this campaign, the energy company reinforces its engagement with sport and with runners, at a time when the most important popular races of the running calendar are taking place again.
One of these dates is the EDP Rock ’n’ Roll Running Series Madrid, that comes back on September 26. This event means the starting signal to the great running world’s dates, after more than a year of being interrupted due to the pandemic. The EDP Gijón Half Marathon, EDP Ruta de la Reconquista de Cangas de Onís Half Marathon, EDP Trinidad Alfonso EDP Valencia Half Marathon, EDP Seville Half Marathon, Bilbao Night Race, Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon, EDP Vitoria Gasteiz Martín Fiz Marathon and the City of Málaga Half Marathon are the next races to be held in 2021.
