Without taking into account the extraordinary results, the EBTIDA of EDP in Spain has decreased 15 %, reaching 429 million euros in 2015 and a net benefit of 100 million euros, 9 % less than the previous year.

Taking into account the positive effect produced by the sales of assets of gas distribution and the actions of EDP Renovaveis, the EBTIDA increased 2 %, reaching the 518 million euros, and the BDI added up t 598 million euros, 442 % more than the previous year.

The results have produced in a complex environment, characterized by adjustments and tax burdens. In spite of the increasement of the demand (+ 1,8 %) and the conventional thermal generation (+ 22 %), these assets are still at low levels, of years 2005 and 1999 respectively.

The adopted strategic decisions, the focus on efficiency and the costs control in different activities have enabled to reach these results despite the difficulties of the environment.
