The second stage of the EDP acceleration program for startups begins

The ten startups that are participating in the first edition of EDP Acceleration programs attend this week to the second stage of the program. During the days 23, 24 and 25, the companies will attend different sessions in the Campus Google of Madrid, that will enable them to continue developing their strategic projects.

 

The ten startups that are participating in the first edition of EDP Acceleration programs attend this week to the second stage of the program. During the 23rd, 24th and 25th, the companies will attend different sessions in the Google Campus of Madrid, that will enable them to continue developing their strategic projects.

This second stage will be divided in two parts. The first one, that will take place the 23rd and 24th, the companies will attend to training and practical sessions in which they will be dealing, among other issues, with legal aspects that influence the development of innovative projects, sales technics and business development and digital marketing.

In the second part, the 25th, the startups will be presenting their projects to a jury of experts of EDP: the Director-General Manager of EDP, Javier Sáenz de Jubera; the director of Environment, Sustainability, Innovation and Quality of EDP Spain, Yolanda Fernández Montes; the director of EDP Hc Energy, Luis Álvarez Arias de Velasco; and the technical director of EDP Renewables, Bautista Rodríguez Sánchez.

The jury will choose the three strongest innovative projects, that will be incorporating the EDP Starter program to continue developing its ideas. With EDP Starter, the company supports entrepreneurs from the identification of the initial idea until the entry of the shareholders of the new company, going through the creation of a prototype, development and pilot project. Moreover, they will receive invitations to attend the events Web Summit and South Summit.

EDP Acceleration Program is the first acceleration program for startups of EDP in Spain. Its launching, that counts with the collaboration of the company Beta-I, reinforces EDP’s commitment with promoting innovative ideas that favor the development of new products and energy solutions, oriented to ensuring a common sustainable development.

One of the advantages that the startups obtained from participating in this intensive program is counting with the advising of EDP’s professionals, that will help the entrepreneurs to develop its innovative ideas.

The chosen startups have their headquarters in Madrid, Barcelona, Gipuzkoa, Vitoria, Malaga, Caceres and Asturias. Their work field go from development of systems of energy management until applied solutions to renewable energies.

The startups participating are the following:

 

Dutt (Albiztur, Gipuzkoa): they develop a system of energy saving through the energy monitorization and the elimination of consumption peaks.

Sentimer Technologies (Madrid) they present a platform of customers’ attention based on chatbots, a software that allows to interact with users, using natural language

Thermal Recycled Composites (Barcelona) works on the integral recovery and recycling of aerogenerators

Green Eagle Solutions (Madrid): they have an informatic system to manage wind parks.

Plactherm (Madrid): they work on a radiant heating system, capable of generating independent thermal areas in the areas where it is installed

Rated Power (Madrid) works on the development of software aimed at promoters of photovoltaic parks, capable of identifying the best area of a field to install them

Albufera Cells (Navalmoral de la Mata, Cáceres): they are focused on the production and development of systems of electric energy storage.

O2E (Gijón): they work on apps for the management and maintenance of charging points of electric vehicles.

Vatia (Malaga): the goal of this startup is to develop a software that enables the energy management of buildings, based on efficiency principles.

Ensotest (Vitoria): they develop informatic systems for the maintenance of electric substations.
