Three startups have been awarded in EDP’s acceleration program in the Google Campus of Madrid. It is the first acceleration program for startups of the energy company in Spain.

Sentimer Technologies, Rated Power and Thermal Recycled Composites have been chosen for the strength of its projects, among the ten companies that have taken part on the first edition of the program. The proposals of the participating companies are focused on different energy solutions that go from the development of energy efficiency systems until the applied solutions of renewable energies.

The selection of these three innovative projects has been carried out by a jury of experts of EDP, the Director-General Manager of EDP, Javier Sáenz de Jubera; the director of Inovagrid of EDP Energy, Jesús Fernández López; the manager of EDP Renewables, Luis Manuel; and the technical director of EDP Renewables, Bautista Rodríguez Sánchez.

Sentimer Technologies (Madrid) has presented a platform of customers’ attention based on chatbots, a software that allows to interact with users, using natural language

Rated Power (Madrid) works on the development of software aimed at promoters of photovoltaic parks, capable of identifying the best area of a field to install them

Thermal Recycled Composites (Barcelona) works on the integral recovery and recycling of aerogenerators

The three projects will be incorporated to EDP’s program to keep developing its ideas. With EDP, the company promotes entrepreneurship, supporting energy startups from the identification of an initial idea until the entry on the shareholders of the new company, going through the creation of a prototype, development and pilot project.

The awarded companies will receive, furthermore, invitations to attend to the events Web Summit and South Summit.

With the acknowledgment of these three startups, the first edition of EDP Acceleration Program reaches its end. Other companies that have taken part on this program are:

Dutt (Albiztur, Gipuzkoa): they develop a system of energy saving through the energy monitorization and the elimination of consumption peaks.

Green Eagle Solutions (Madrid): they have an informatic system to manage wind parks.

Plactherm (Madrid): they work on a radiant heating system, capable of generating independent thermal areas in the areas where it is installed

Albufera Cells (Navalmoral de la Mata, Cáceres): they are focused on the production and development of systems of electric energy storage.

O2E (Gijón): they work on apps for the management and maintenance of charging points of electric vehicles.

Vatia (Malaga): the goal of this startup is to develop a software that enables the energy management of buildings, based on efficiency principles.

Ensotest (Vitoria): they develop informatic systems for the maintenance of electric substations.
