Until February 21, startups and scaleups from around the world can register and have the opportunity to collaborate with EDP to accelerate the energy transition. This first module focuses on the Grids of the Future.

Energy Starter is an innovation program created by EDP that promotes the development of technologies that drive the energy transition. Startups and scaleups from around the world are invited to present innovative and disruptive solutions in three areas of the energy sector: Grids of the Future, Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen, and Customer Solutions.

Registration for the “Grids of the Future” module is already open and ends on February 21. Bootcamp y Open Day

BOOTCAMP

After the evaluation period, which includes the Online Pitch, the selected startups will participate in a Bootcamp on May 26th and 27th at EDP's headquarters in Lisbon. During these two days, participants will have the opportunity to work with EDP managers and end users from various business units and innovation teams, with the aim of accelerating the co-development of pilot projects and commercial agreements.

OPEN DAY

In the same week, on May 28, EDP will also hold the Energy Starter Open Day, which will be an opportunity to learn about the results and impact of EDP's innovation initiatives and discover the innovative collaborations that have resulted from them. It will also be a privileged space to network and interact with industry leaders, innovators and decision-makers who share the ambition for a greener and more sustainable energy future.

Innovation plays a central role in the EDP Group's strategy, with a proven track record: since 2016, it has launched more than 140 pilot projects, 40 commercial deployments and 30 venture capital investments with alumni of these initiatives, representing around €140 million in operations.

Energy Starter embodies this commitment and is essential for identifying and developing innovative solutions for the energy sector. This program enables the creation of long-term, high-impact partnerships that promote leadership and accelerate the energy transition.
