2 500 runners take part in the 6th EDP San Fermín Marathon
All categories started and ended in the Plaza de Toros of Pamplona
Temperature over 20 degrees, nerves and a lot of excitement: This was the atmosphere last Saturday in the Plaza de Toros of Pamplona, that held the particular chupinazo of EDP San Fermín Marathon’s sixth edition. The race brought more than 2 500 people together, coming from 18 countries, and representing all autonomic communities as well.
In the morning, participants picked up their race bibs. EDP, as main sponsor of the race and official energy of sport, was present in the Runner Fair with children’s games, an energy podium and a wall to “Share your message”, among other activities. Assistants could benefit from the race bib rebate offer for new clients, also available in www.edpmaratones.es.
5 categories beginning and ending in the Plaza de Toros

In the 10.7-kilometer race, the first to arrive to the end line were Miguel Gómez and Amaia Melero. Juan Moreno and Zaida Moreno became winners in the shortest race, “Kiliki”, 5 kilometers long. The couple of Share your energy, composed by Carlos Gaspar, visually handicapped, and Carlos Pérez, both citizens of Navarra, also took part in the last category.
