Children enjoyed EDP's educational program, Viva Nuestra Energía

300 people participated in the Open Doors Conference that took place in the Castejón combined cycle thermal power plant. The visit to the facility brought together residents of the town, representatives of collaborating companies and employees of the plant itself, who were accompanied by their families.

The employees of the plant were in charge of guiding visitors through the facility, which employs more than 100 people, including those of EDP's own staff and those of collaborating companies.

The youngest enjoyed children's activities, with mattresses and inflatable castles, as well as with the company's educational program, Viva Nuestra Energía.

The Castejón plant is located on the right bank of the Ebro River. Group 1 (Castejón 1), with a capacity of 429 MW, entered into operation in September 2002. The second group (Castejón 3), with a capacity of 426 MW, started its commercial activity in January 2008. The facility uses natural gas as its main fuel to feed the gas turbine.
