This year, 175 students from the University of Oviedo may access the EDP Foundation’s scholarship program. With a million euros, this program is aimed at those students that wish to carry out their training internship in EDP’s installations and offices.

Students that are interested in taking part in the program may present their applications from September 12 to 19, through the internship app of the University of Oviedo.

EDP Foundation’s scholarship program is open to students of 34 majors from different Faculties, as well as to those that are studying their masters. Among the degrees one may find Electric Engineering, Commerce and Marketing, Chemistry or Law.

The EDP Foundation scholarships, result of the agreement signed with the University of Oviedo, grant € 2 170 and have a duration of six months, that may be extended. The training period will begin in the month of October, with the incorporation of each student to the assigned work center. The internships will be developed in all areas of the company, under the supervision from tutors, that will train and help the students.

Last edition, 2015-2016, students from more than 30 majors joined, among which the majors of Administration and Business Management and Industrial Engineering stood out, with 60 and 30 students, respectively.

Apart from the agreement with the University of Oviedo, the EDP Foundation has signed agreements with other Spanish universities and schools, in order to promote the training of students in the different installations and work centers that the company has in other communities. Therefore, each year, more than 20 students join the centers of Madrid, Barcelona, La Coruña, Valencia and Zaragoza.

The EDP Foundation scholarship program aims to ease the practical training of students from the University of Oviedo. It is the most renowned internship program of the university, as well as one of the most important initiatives developed by the Foundation itself. Since its launching in 1948, more than 100 people participating in this program have joined the staff of Group EDP Spain.
