EDP and the Business Confederation of Bizkaia CEBEK reached an agreement to improve energy management among Bizkaia companies. The agreement was signed by Francisco J. Azpiazu (General Secretary of CEBEK) and Javier Flórez (Director of B2B Sales of EDP España).

EDP has the provision of energy services, the promotion of energy efficiency and the implementation of integrated energy efficiency systems as purposes of its activity. For its part, CEBEK defined as one of the priorities in its strategic plan the promotion of the competitiveness of companies and the increase of energy efficiency.

The agreement is part of the "EDP Program of advice and awareness in the field of energy management for companies." This way, EDP will promote the provision of its energy efficiency services that may be requested by the companies associated with CEBEK and / or the Associations and Federations affiliated with CEBEK that participate in the activities of this Program.

Through this agreement, Bizkaia companies will be able to achieve significant energy savings, the achievement of which will increase their competitiveness. The energy managers of the companies will be able to know all the relevant aspects that help them identify and implement energy efficiency measures.

The Program, among others, aims to advise and sensitize companies to:
The reduction of the energy bill.
The optimization of consumption.
The implementation of energy efficiency projects.
The identification of energy consumption reduction measures promoting their implementation and cost management through the savings generated.

For its part, the Business Confederation of Bizkaia CEBEK will promote the agreement and its scope among its associations and companies through its different communication channels and supports.
