EDP and AEMENER will promote the role of women in the energy world
This agreement reinforces the company’s commitment with the Sustainable Development Goal 5, regarding gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The Spanish Association of Women for Energy (AEMENER) has signed an agreement with EDP to promote the role of women in the energy world. Both entities will collaborate in the development of activities and the exchange of information and knowledge about projects and initiatives. Furthermore, they will encourage the representation of both parts in activities and forums.
The agreement (Memorándum of Understanding, MOU) has been signed by the president of the Association, Carmen Becerril, and the CEO of EDP Spain, Rui Teixeira. The event was also attended by the director of the association, María Romera, and the director of Environment, Sustainability, Innovation and Quality from EDP Spain, Yolanda Fernández.
