The most renowned race of the calendar in Murcia, Murcia’s Marathon, receives this edition EDP’s support. The energy company, which is the model gas operator in the region, becomes thus the main sponsor and will be giving name to the race the following January 27.

The EDP Murcia’s Marathon will have three distances: the marathon, the half marathon and 10 kilometers. Currently, there are more than 2 000 people registered in all three distances. The deadline to register for the marathon ends on Tuesday, January 15, while for the half marathon and the 10k it ends on Tuesday, 22.

EDP’s incorporation to the race brings advantages to participants and a bigger projection of the race, both national and international. The energy company is the main sponsor of the most renowned races of the national calendar, in which more than 200 000 people take part each year.

The company has raffled 50 race bibs among its current customers and is refunding the cost of the race bib to all those who change their energy contract to EDP. The information about this promotion is available in www.edpmaratones.es.

EDP will also be present in the Runner’s Fair, that will take place on January 25 and 26 in the Municipal Sport Center Nuevo Cagigal. It will be informing about its promotions to runners and will have available activities, games for children and presents for visitors. The company will also gift all participants a wristband, that will be found in the runners’ bags.
