EDP celebrates in Santander its 2nd Day about “The assimilation of occupational risks’ prevention”

EDP brought together 150 professionals of the Group’s Gas Distribution field and of collaborative companies in a meeting celebrated in the Palace of Magdalena, where issues related with labor risks were addressed.

Under the motto “Assimilation of occupational risks’ prevention”, this 2nd Day has had speakers like María Carmen Escalada, chief of the service of Promotion and Planification of the Cantabrian Institute of Security and Health in Work; Lola Blanco, director of the line of Prevention of Occupational Risks; and Enrique Rodero, manager of SPM of Group Elecnor. On EDP’s part, Juan Ramón Arraibi, director of EDP Naturgas Energía and Alberto Cueto, director of the service of Prevention Mancomunado of EDP in Spain. Ana Belén Álvarez, general director of Work in the Government of Cantabria, was in charge of closing the act.

Throughout the different interventions, policies regarding occupational risks’ prevention in EDP and in collaborative companies were explained, as well as the assimilation of both. Practical cases were analyzed in matters of accidents’ investigation, detection, and prevention. All speakers agreed on the need to act in prevention through the development and implementation of measures that go over what is legally established, aimed for the behavior modification of to minimize occupational risks and reduce accident rates.
