The EDP Foundation collaborates with the 1st Galbán Race against childhood cancer!
All earnings will be allocated to the Galbán Association and thus to the needs of sick children and their families
The EDP Foundation collaborated with the Galbán Association (Association of families of children with cancer) on their initiative for February 17, the 1st Galbán Race against childhood cancer!
16 popular races will be celebrated simultaneously in 16 different Asturian councils, all of them of a distance between 2 and 5 kilometers. The goal is to raise funds for the needs of the little patients and their families.
In order to give the race a greater visibility, members of the sport group Lateral have set the challenge “LateralRunsWithGalbán”, that consists in running all races in less than 24 hours. In order to accomplish their challenge, they will travel 700 km by bus and add up around 50 km running.
All earnings will be allocated to the Galbán Association and thus to the needs of sick children and their families, as well as the needs expressed by the Central Hospital of Asturias (HUCA) for the health care of the children and the investigation in the field of children’s oncology.
