Asturias holds the first edition of the project STEM Talent Girl, organized by Talent & Tech Foundation, promoted by the Technological Center CTIC and sponsored by EDP. It is an initiative that aims to encourage the scientific-technological vocation among women, with the goal of inspiring and empowering little girls and adolescents, so that they carry out their professional careers in the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), supervised by women that develop their professional activity in the scientific and technological field.

This project is possible thanks to the participation of different women with a solid career path in this STEM field, and that will spread the importance of this project from their personal experience and with the vocation of inspiring the new feminine talents. Stem Talent Girl offers various types of initiatives that favor entrepreneurship and the identification of feminine talent, related with the mentoring, identification of women’s high capacities and talent, workshops, masterclasses or shadowing sessions –to experiment first-person real situation in the STEM field-.
