EVO Banco and EDP launch a discount plan in electricity and gas for customers and supporters

EVO incorporates the energy sector in its catalogue of non-financial services and allows the user to decide the type of supply he is most interested in.

EVO Banco and EDP have joined forces to offer significant discounts on electricity, gas and maintenance services for the financial clients and community of supporters -EVO Lovers- of the digital entity. Both groups will benefit from direct savings on their monthly bill and will have the first month of electricity free. EVO's financial customers will also be able to add greater discounts after the first month of the contract with the energy company.

Discounts will be gradual and flexible at the user's option, so that it is possible to contract one or several services at the same time. Depending on the combination chosen by the user, the discount reaches up to 8% in electricity consumption, while in gas the saving can be up to 25% in the fixed term. And in EDP's maintenance and repair service, Funciona, the price will be reduced by 50% during the first year.  

EDP's offer is one of the most competitive in the market. It was the first company to launch a dual offer - electricity and gas - to the market, with the convenience that this means for customers, who see all their energies united in the same bill. It was also the first energy company to offer its customers a home maintenance service, which covers both electrical installations and gas equipment. A service that has subsequently been extended to include, in a flexible manner, new coverage. In addition, EDP customers consume 100% renewable electricity and have access to various exclusive gifts and promotions.

The online contracting of the service and all the economic advantages of the agreement are available for new contracts through EVO Place, the digital marketplace that simplifies all the non-financial offerings provided by the bank. According to Carlos Oliveira, Executive Director of EVO's Customer Lab, "The agreement with EDP is EVO's first with a company in the energy sector and is good news for our customers and supporters. EVO's goal is to be the bank that makes it easy for people, and this type of partnership is an important step in that direction".

We want to be the energy of more people throughout the country and the digital profile of EVO Banco's customers and supporters will allow us to offer our product to more consumers through different online platforms. They will be able to enjoy particularly advantageous conditions in addition to consuming 100% renewable electricity".

EVO Banco has developed in the last six months a specific value proposition for non-financial customers, which now adds up to more than 85,000 people. These users, known as EVO Lovers, are entitled to preferential benefits on the EVO Place platform and have access to public digital banking services, such as the possibility of integrating all bank accounts into a single application or personalized financial health analysis.
