The Northwest Investor's Day launches its fourth edition (Oviedo, Madrid, Avilés and now Gijón), making an important jump in its scope: it extends its geographic scope to Galicia and Castilla León. In collaboration with its counterparts in these communities, IGAPE and ICE, the IDEPA (the Economic Development Agency of the Principality of Asturias), in collaboration with the European Center of Enterprises and Innovation of the Principality of Asturias (CEEI Asturias) and the Regional Society of Promotion, they have organized this new edition in which 60 startups and 15 consolidated companies of these three autonomous communities will be able to present their projects to around fifty private investors from all over Spain.

This event, which will be held on June 5th at the Art and Industrial Creation Center of Gijón, is sponsored by EDP, which will also be present at the round table "Startups, scaleups and beyond: investment for business success".

The day will offer previously agreed negotiation rounds where different investors can assess not only the interest and viability of the projects, but also the capacity of the managers. Their knowledge of the markets in which they move, most of them in the world of new technologies, health sciences or data analysis, among others, will serve as the basis for, through secret voting, choosing the "Best startup of the Investors' Day." The ruling will be announced at the end of the sessions, in public, by the Pantomima Full group, who will close the day with a performance.

Parallel to the negotiation rounds, two round tables will be held which will address the "Fintech", or development of financial services based on technological innovation, as a business niche. The conditions or characteristics of investment in this type of companies will also be addressed. At the end of the day there will be a meeting of the group "The Fourth Funding", an initiative of the CEEI Asturias to promote private investment in highly innovative companies.
