Friday 24, November 2017

Vanda Martins, executive director of the Foundation, participated with the presentation "Expectations of corporate foundations"

The Spanish Association of Foundations (AEF) organized an act on innovation and social responsibility in Espacio Circus de Oviedo, under the title "Foundations, companies and society: a necessary relationship". In this Conference, different topics were discussed aimed at allowing both the business sector and foundations and individual donors to reflect on the role they can play in building a more cohesive and equitable civil society.

The meeting was attended by Isaac Pola, Minister of Employment, Industry and Tourism of the Principality of Asturias; Javier Nadal Ariño, president of the Spanish Association of Foundations; and Armando Adeba García, representative of the Autonomic Council of Foundations of the Principality of Asturias. Representatives of six foundations also attended.

Vanda Martins, executive director of Fundación EDP, was in charge of breaking down the expectations of corporate foundations. In her presentation, she highlighted, as key issues for a corporate foundation, the existence of a strategic vision aligned with business, the increase of collaboration with stakeholders, the optimization of their activities and, finally, measuring the impact of performance.
