On Sunday, November 4, the first Speed Trail FEMPA Grand Prix of Asturias will begin, with the support of the electricity, gas and services company, EDP.

In 2018, this competition opens in Pola de Laviana with the Coto Musel race, which reaches its XVII edition. It is organized by the Peña Mea Mountain Group and is the most famous mountain race in Asturias.

In this edition, the race doubled its entries with almost 300 participants, who will gather at 11 am on Sunday around the Lavianese sports center for the kick-off.

The FEMPA, Asturian Mountain Federation, organizes this first cup of races by mountain in its Speed mode (short and explosive races) with the aim of promoting this sport amongst cadet and junior categories, from 15 to 20 years, and promote the development of runners by mountain in its different modalities.

In addition to this race, the circuit is composed of three more:

November 18: V Speed ??Trail Pestric Lands (Cangas de Narcea)

November 25: III Abeduriu Trail Race (The Delivery)

December 16: VI VillaCabra Trail (Villaviciosa)
