2,542 runners will meet on Saturday, April 28 at 6:00 pm at the Sports Complex of Las Mestas de Gijón to participate in the EDP Media Marathon Gijón Villa de Jovellanos. In this eighth edition, the electricity, gas and services company EDP adds its support to the popular race of Gijón. The race is included in the national calendar of street races of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation and will run on a circuit of 21.097 meters homologated by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA), which will award Official validity to all the marks obtained in the race. The route runs at sea level, a flat profile and with few turns, perfect to get great personal marks. The race bibs will be delivered at the Runner's Fair, located at the Las Mestas Sports Complex, on Friday, April 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the race day from 11:00 p.m. until half an hour before its beginning. To withdraw them, it will be mandatory to present a document of accreditation and be officially registered. In addition, all participants will receive a commemorative runner's bag with different gifts, including the EDP wristband.
