Sincronizadas organizes its first meeting in Pamplona
The international athlete Maitane Melero will be the ambassador of this date
Sincronizadas, the platform created by EDP to promote feminine running, will be celebrating its first official meeting in Pamplona this Friday, May 31, at 19.30 in the Yamaguchi Park. The ambassador of this event will be the international runner Maitane Melero, member of the Spanish national team that, as she often explains herself, has achieved her best results after becoming a mother, and combining it with her job as engineer. The meeting also aims to support the handball player from Navarra, Maite Zugarrondo, that has just announced her retreat from professional sport, not being able to combine it with the care of her nieces.
The meeting, which consists of a training, is aimed at all feminine public, regardless of their level and personal situation, and they only have to register here. The date will also serve as an initial contact for women that will be taking part in the EDP San Fermín Marathon, that will be celebrated on June 8.
How does Sincronizas.com work?
Sincronizadas.com already has 11 000 members, who, through the website, can create a runner profile for free and get to know women from the same area or with compatible timetables and train together. The tool allows to filter, considering different criteria like the date, the distance to the city of the meeting, the level… There is also a chat within each meeting, where runners may communicate and exchange information regarding the meeting.
EDP, the official energy of sport, is the main sponsor of the most important popular races in Spain. Each year, it supports more than 200 000 people that take part in the more than 30 races in which it collaborates (www.edpmaraton.es).
