The Asturian company Rymoil had been acknowledged by EDP as the best collaborative company in the Sustainability field. The contest of the energy company, EDParners, has awarded the company of Carreño for its work and good practice, focused on achieving a common sustainable development.

Rymoil is the only Spanish representative to be awarded in the third edition of EDPartners. It is the first time that Spanish companies participate. In total, 172 candidacies from 132 firms of the Iberian Peninsula; 42 out of them were Spanish; and 16, Asturian.

EDPartners is an initiative that acknowledges work and good practice of the companies collaborating with Group EDP in the Iberian market. Rymoil cooperates with the energy company in the field of maintenance and improvement of the electric distribution installations.

The Asturian companies that presented their candidacies were: TSK, Montajes, Proyectos y Mantenimiento, Asistencia Técnica Industrial Asturiana, Industrial Gijonesa, Rodaprinsa, Outsourcing y Comercialización, Rymoil, Asturfluid, Forcón, Isotrón, TCM, Pasek, Electricidad Llames, Intermark, Metalux and Álvarez Sirgo.

The other four companies to be awarded were: CGI, in the category of Relation with the Customer; Roff, in the Exchange of Good Practice; CME in Prevention and Security; and Inesc Tec, in Innovation. This last company also received an excellence award as the best supplier of the year.

The Spanish companies that applied focused their activity on different fields. Therefore, there are auxiliar companies of electric services, civil work, wind energy, customers’ attention, or digital solutions. Likewise, these companies operate in different areas of the territory, which shows both EDP’s dimension in Spain, as its impact in the local economies. There are firms from Madrid, Cataluña, Asturias, the Basque Country, Galicia, Andalusia, Aragon, Castille-La Mancha, Murcia and the Valencian Community.

The collaborating companies are an essential part of the Group EDP, as they have a significative impact in the company’s relationship with customers, in the innovation capacity, in the adoption of sustainable development politics, and in prevention and security, helping EDP to maintain its leadership in its operational areas.

With these awards, EDP continues its constant search for excellence, giving acknowledgment the collaborative companies and promoting its international projection in the areas where the company operates.

Apart from participating in this initiative, companies can also join the Roadshows EDPartners. This project, that consists of a series of meetings, aims to promote the dialogue and the interaction among suppliers and economic agents in other countries where EDP operates. The company offers thus contacts that help to promote new businesses and collaborations.
