The Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Oviedo hosted the meeting “Sí, somos innovación”(Yes, we are innovation), promoted by the University of Oviedo Foundation in collaboration with the Oviedo City Council. It is a networking platform to connect companies and universities by sharing challenges that originate in the business environment for university students to develop innovative and disruptive proposals.

Luis Santos, head of Innovation at EDP, shared with the attendees five of the challenges the energy focus currently has: "Impulse of the electric vehicle in Oviedo", "Disruptive Communication", "Digital Transformation of Employees" , "Power Consumption Information" and "Digital Customer".

The main purpose of this initiative is for young people to become accustomed to the use of tools that allow them to work together in a distributed way. All these skills are put into practice in this "learning by doing" scenario as the participants have before them real challenges that EDP other Asturian companies shared with them. After the presentation of the challenges, students worked on creative and innovative solutions to these challenges.
