Startups that develop solutions to support consumers on the path to decarbonisation have until 25 August to apply for the third phase of this year's edition of EDP's innovation programme.

The logistics centers of Biedronka in Poland will be powered by solar energy from EDP Energia Polska panels. EDP, a European leader in decentralized solar energy projects, was selected by Poland's largest retail chain and employer.

Between May 27th and 30th, EDP will host the startups selected for the eighth edition of the open innovation program during the phase focused on the development of potential projects centered around the energy transition

For this 8th edition of the open innovation programme, EDP welcomes the startups between the 27th and 30th of May for the phase that targets developing potential projects with a focus on the energy transition.

The energy company’s program has helped boost 57 projects with more than 600,000 euros, thus creating more than 100 direct jobs

The sporting goods brand has chosen EDP Comercial to install 42 charging points in stores nationwide, promoting electric mobility in Portugal. EDP and Decathlon had already partnered to develop solar energy projects in Portugal and five other European countries.
