Solución “llave en mano”: los clientes contarán con el asesoramiento y acompañamiento de la empresa energética durante todo el proceso de instalación y puesta en marcha.

BAUHAUS, a brand specialising in DIY, renovation, decoration and garden, and EDP, a world leader in renewable energies and one of the main energy market operators on the Spanish mainland, have signed a collaboration agreement to market photovoltaic installations in the shops of the leading home improvement company in Spain.

Through its eleven physical shops in the country, the online channel and the telephone channel, they offer this solution to promote solar self-consumption, as well as to encourage energy savings, efficiency, sustainability and bring people closer to the unlimited energy of the sun in a simple, personalised and economical way. The shops where customers can contract these installations are located in Barcelona, Gavá, Tarragona, Gerona, Málaga, Mallorca, Valencia (Paterna and Alfafar), Zaragoza, Madrid-Las Mercedes and Alcorcón.

Turnkey solution designed for the customer

The contracting of the solar self-consumption products can now take place in BAUHAUS shops in Spain, where specialists advise customers on the EDP products and services that best suit their needs and their energy consumption profile.

Once the installation contract has been formalised at any BAUHAUS shop, the energy company will apply for all the administrative permits necessary to carry out the installation in the customer's home. Likewise, EDP will accompany the customer at all times so that they obtain the maximum level of performance from their solar installation and make significant savings on their electricity bill.

In addition to the best guarantees, customers also have at their disposal a complete maintenance service for the installation, as well as an innovative application (Re:dy) to monitor and manage it in real time. This solution will allow them to know the production of their photovoltaic panels comfortably, wherever and whenever they want, through their mobile phone. In the same way, they can know in detail the energy generated by their solar panels and the consumption they have at home from the electricity grid.

Through this agreement, BAUHAUS is strengthening its value-added services strategy, positioning itself as a benchmark in the field of clean energy and demonstrating its commitment to the 2030 agenda by providing its customers with solutions that promote energy savings and environmental protection. "With this agreement, we are adding a new service available in all our sales channels that we believe is of great interest to our customers. We make it easier for them to access solar energy in a convenient and fast way, as we do with all our activities", explains Willem Van Dijk, Purchasing Manager at BAUHAUS Spain.

Self-consumption is a strategic priority for EDP. In the words of EDP Solar's Director of Business Development and Customer Experience, Oscar Cubillo, "this commercial agreement with BAUHAUS clearly contributes to further boosting our growth in solar energy, bringing innovative self-consumption solutions to all households and individuals in response to the growing public interest in efficient products and services that generate direct savings and, at the same time, enhance the protection of the environment in which we live and in which our children grow up".

Solar energy is one of the energy solutions with the greatest savings potential. A family living in a single-family house can save more than €600 per year. It is also sustainable and environmentally friendly, avoiding the emission of more than 1,500 kg of CO2 each year.
