The exhibition, which will open its doors in Avilés next February 20, demonstrates the artist’s excellence in engraving

The race, that celebrates its silver anniversary, holds the Runner Fair on January 24 and 25, in the Sport Center of San Pablo

Follow the premier of “San Silvestre: la energía de las personas” live in the EDP Theater Gran Vía of Madrid, from Tuesday at 11:30, to December 17.

The sculptor from Aviles, Carlos Coronas, and the director of the EDP Foundation, Nicanor Fernández, have presented one of the light sculptures from the artist in the corporative headquarters of EDP in Oviedo. It is the Lampyridae 2017, which installation was promoted by the EDP Foundation. The work is found in the main entry of the company’s headquarters, building projected by Joaquín Vaquero Palacios.

The commitment of the EDP Foundation with music and art will be once again manifested in September with ‘Siegfried’, a play that it will be sponsoring in the Theater Campoamor. It is the third part of ‘The Ring of the Nibelung’ of Richard Wagner. Since the launching of the Wagnerian performances, on September 2013 with ‘The Rheingold’, followed by ‘the Valkyrie’ on September 2015, and its coming consolidation on the beginning of the following season with Siegfried, Oviedo’s opera has counted with the collaboration of the EDP Foundation. With the launching of ‘The Ring of the Nibelung’ of Wagner in the Asturian capital, the EDP Foundation will be the main sponsor the following opera season in the Theater Campoamor.

The Festival de Fado has once again brought together first-class artists, films, conferences and workshops that help to understand the mysteries of fado. This year’s edition, sponsored by EDP, has been focused on the theme “Fado and arts”, as a sign of the transversality of a genre that goes beyond music, influencing cinema, literature, art and photography.

The Santander International Festival started its 66th edition last Saturday with the great symphonic concert of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of chief conductor Juanjo Mena, and alongside with Juan Pérez Floristán, who confirms his international projection with this date.
