EDP has launched the program EDP Starter. It is an initiative that aims to help Spanish startups to develop their innovative ideas within the energy sector, with a special focus on the products’ development.

Eleven startups participate this week in the first phase of EDP’s Starter Acceleration Program. It is the first edition of the acceleration program for entrepreneurs launched by the energy company EDP, aiming to promote the development of new energy products and services. The first stage will take place on 19, 20 and 21 of April, in the Google Campus of Madrid.

Eleven energy startups have participated in the first stage of EDP’s Acceleration Program. For three days, companies attended different sessions in the Google Campus Madrid, that will enable them to keep developing their products and innovative services.

EDP, in collaboration with Group Impresa, has launched a new edition of EDP Open Innovation. It is an innovation competition in the energy sector, that looks for entrepreneurial and innovative projects. This initiative is aimed at startups from all around the world. In this new edition, the focus is put on the energy area.

More than 200 EDP’s employees have met in the Euskalduna Palace of Bilbao to attend the yearly event of EDP’s Sales to Large Customers. For two days, workers have put together their experiences, while presenting novelties and establishing a strategy to follow this year.

The ten startups that are participating in the first edition of EDP Acceleration programs attend this week to the second stage of the program. During the days 23, 24 and 25, the companies will attend different sessions in the Campus Google of Madrid, that will enable them to continue developing their strategic projects.

Three startups have been awarded in EDP’s acceleration program in the Google Campus of Madrid. It is the first acceleration program for startups of the energy company in Spain.
