• The global conference ‘We Choose Earth’ will be held at the EDP Gran Vía Theater on June 22 and will feature, among others, Amal Clooney, Adam Grant, Céline Cousteau and Peter Frankopan
• During the event, scientists, academics, entrepreneurs, artists and environmental advocates will discuss the future of energy, the urgent need for an energy transition to renewable energy and the importance of sustainability
• Ticket sales will go to organizations working in different areas related to environmental care, energy transition and awareness of society: ECODES, La España Azul and Ecomar

The company aims to start up 150 MW of electrolyzers with an investment of more than 200 million euros

The regional Minister for Industry, Energy and Mining of the Government of Andalusia, Jorge Paradela, visits the plant and gets to know first-hand EDP’s project, that expects to invest 400 million euros in the site.

The company has the objective to put 130 MW of electrolyzers into operation, with an investment of 195 million euros.

EDP maintains its commitment with fair transition and follows its strategic objectives for the 2023-2026 period, with the ambition to be 100% green in 2030.

The agreement foresees the construction of the largest photovoltaic plant in Begur, which will generate clean energy with an estimated production of 650 MWh per year.

EDP and Armacell are also working on photovoltaic projects in Italy, accelerating the energy transition in Europe.

The first stage in the transformation of Aboño consists of putting 150 MW of electrolyzers into service.

The financial aid has been obtained thanks to the collaboration of 10 regions, that will work together, exchanging experiences in the development of hydrogen projects

In its yearly executive meeting, lead honorifically by HM, King Felipe VI, the Council urges to raise the commitment level towards the ESG challenges (environmental, social and corporate government).

The energy charged in the Iberian grid operated by EDP allowed to travel the equivalent of more than 1,100 times around the planet without carbon emissions. The growth of electric mobility in Portugal and Spain boosted the number of recharges, that reached around half a million in 2022

The agreement begins with the installation of chargers in 44 petrol stations and may expand to all 135 of the Spanish fuel operator's network and the 35 new openings planned for this year.
